Today I took a full day tour of the lower loop in Yellowstone. What a gift not to be driving and also getting a wonderful overview of this beautiful park. Our guide, Ken, gave us an overview of the history of the park and also explained the various types of eruptions. It is hard to believe that we are sitting on a volcano – no immediate concern. We visited the largest hot springs in the park (the pictures are in order). After walking the boardwalk, we learned of the geyser eruption that happened in July – check out on YouTube Yellowstone Eruption. It was a good thing there were no injuries. As we waited for Ole Faithful to erupt a near-by Bee Hive guyer erupted – a significant happening since it is not predictable. And yes, Old Faithful, erupted pretty much on time as hundreds gathered to view this spectacular.
