Day 2 – April 10, 2025 Fajozes

Today was a full day! I walked the 14 miles but, unfortunately, the first six or so miles was heading to the Camino trail. I received directions from various people but still wandered a bit. I went into a gas station and asked a customer and he gave me specific directions to the route. A few minutes the same person caught up to me and indicated he would walk with me to the next turn. Joseph was a god send and he mentioned a number of places to see. Joseph, when learning I was from the U.S., said, “Things are a bit crazy over there!” The walk along the coastline was beautiful. The heat was a bit much for me so I did take a taxi the last 10 miles or so.

We got lost getting out of the city too! The trail is not well marked there. I should have told you about the book and apps we used. Too late now but getting “lost” is one more thing to reflect on…

For sure and I was never lost for long. My limited language ability still was able to communicate. I have a good app and the map provided by Follow the Camino.
