As I mentioned, the National Park is a good hour from here. So, thanks to Ms Google, I explored what is in the area and I discovered Lassen National Forest and Eagle Lake. What a gift! Eagle Lake is the second largest fresh water lake in CA. While many areas are closed, the Eagle Lake trail was open. As I wondered among the pines, alone on this hike, i realized what a gift this was. Here I was, the trail all to myself – only the sound of the branches below my feet. I enjoyed this silence, listening for the voice of Wisdom to occur. It doesn’t get any better than this!
A little hiatus – I am heading to Sacramento tomorrow to fly to Detroit. I want to attend the Theresa Maxis Award Dinner. This was an event began in my administration. More importantly, it is a wonderful time to acknowledge Cathy Miller’s service to the community, in the spirit of Theresa Maxis. Join me in 5 days or so I explore Yosemite National Park.
