The walk today was a shorter one – 9 miles or so. However, the weather report held true and I walked in a steady light rain all day. It was good to get to the hotel and have a hot shower. I met a couple from Canada at breakfast this morning, Rhonda and Ian. Rhonda is walking and Ian is biking it. So I walked with Rhonda doing the inland route. We walked together for about 2 hours, then I encouraged her to continue since her pace was much quicker! This route is more hilly and more cobblestones, which makes for an interesting walk. A gentleman from Holland caught up to me and we chatted for a bit. Despite the rain, the scenery is beautiful. Dinner found me meeting with folks from New Zealand and CA – I am keeping track of the countries that are represented by the people I meet.
